Castle & Cask 2025

Castle & Cask 2025 will be a two day single malt and bourbon tasting event, scheduled for March 19th & 20th, 2025, taking place in and around Ravenwood Castle.

Stay tuned for invitations!

Event Agenda

Castle & Cask 2025 is an informal event, with a fairly fluid agenda. The spotlight of the event is a single malt tasting one night and a bourbon tasting the other. Historically, lunch on Thursday is likely to involve on site activities or a visit to Jackie O’s for good food and beer, or possibly an axe throwing expedition.

There also will be plenty of free time to enjoy the castle grounds, a well stocked Pub and larder, and plenty of wood for the firepits and cigars to enjoy around the same.

How It Works

The Bottles

Each participant is being asked to provide one bottle of single malt whisky, bourbon or rye. Please check the current list of bottles below to avoid duplicates and ensure an equal selection of single malt and bourbon/rye bottles. Once you have chosen your bottle, update the list or email me to let me know.

As much as we’d all love to try Macallan Fine and Rare 60 Year, please keep the cost of your contributed bottle to less than $150 to keep the competition on an even keel.

The Tasting

Castle & Cask will not be a curated event, there is no professional guiding the tasting. Each guest will be asked to briefly discuss the bottle they provided, sharing details about the distillery, the region, why they chose the bottle, etc.

Food and Accommodations

Lodging, breakfast and dinner will be provided at no cost.

Guests will be on their own for lunch, though there are likely to be group activities available.

Making Your Reservation

Castle & Cask 2025 is a private, invitation only event. When invitation emails go out, they will include instructions to make your reservation. If you misplace the invitation or need any assistance, please contact Jim for assistance.

Bottle List

Once you have chosen a bottle, please add it to the spreadsheet to the right.

When making your selection, please bear in mind that we are aiming for six bottles each of single malt and bourbon/rye.

If you have difficulty editing the list, or any questions about what bottle to bring, please contact Jim.
